1881    The Session met by call of Moderator (Rev. L. R. Bond) Constituted by Prayer.      Bros Present.  L. R. Bond.  J. N. Cowan  W. R. Smyly  L. Barnes & H. N. Crumpton.  Bro Smyly's resignation as clerk of Session was tender[e]d & received.  And H N Crumpton elected in his stead.  Bro Cowan was appointed as a delegate to Presbytery to be held at Union[?] Grove Thursday Oct 6th 81  H N Crumpton as alternate.  Mrs. Mattie Paisley, formerly (Miss Mattie Cowan) letter of dismission was ordered granted by Clerk, and all present was instructed to see what could be done in regard to the collection of the Twenty Seven (27-) for Presbyterial dues  Then motion to adjourn was accepted and closed by Prayer
