Functions This is the first chapter
that you will study with Mr. Ford. You learn about lines, how to
graph them, and how to solve them. You will discuss important concepts
such as the slope, distance and midpoint formulas. You also learn
how to algebraically tell if two lines are perpendicular or parallel. Linear
Functions have many useful applications such as determining the break-even
point for a fundraiser or the amount that railroad tracks will expand or
contract in relatin to temperature. Linear Functions are very useful
in the real world, so be sure you understand them!
