The band has come along way since her establishment in 1978 as a brass band. From a band that previously combined with the primary school band in the beginning years, PL Band now has an approximately 100 strong membership.

PL Band regularly holds public performances in addition to participating in the biannual SYF Band Competition. PL Band also holds a biannual concert, Emmanuel and participates in music exchange programmes with comparable school bands..
