Gauntlet:
Dark Legacy
Our Overall Rating:
7.5
A Second Opinion:
N/A
As with the first game, a few fundimental mistakes.  Yet, still, not a bad game.

We said "rent it" for a few reasons:
First, the graphics are a bit less than what the capabilities of the PS2 can offer it.  I realize that the game is played in "helecopter" view mode, but I still believe more time could have been spent on the overall look of the game.  The levels, on the other hand, are quite well done.  Much longer levels than the first, with a much larger challenge.  There are a lot more levels and worlds, which adds a bit of time to the gameplay, but playing through the game gets boring after a while.

Some of the characters are pretty much pointless, but there are a lot more than the first.  There are a lot more items and weapons.  The only problem is that you can't store them and use them later.  You use it immediately as you get it.  It kind-of sucks, but that's what Midway wanted I guess.
