| Starfighter is simply a great game. Nearly everything about this game is outstanding. Let me begin with the graphics. They are beautiful. I couldn't believe that I was playing a video game when I first booted this game up. I also developed a love for the controls. The total control over your ship is very nice, and also very uncommon, in today's games. The story is perhaps a little simple, but at least it's easy to follow. One big problem I found with this game was it's simplicity. I woundn't say that anyone could just blow through it, but it isn't exactly challenging. It is very fun, and will take you a few trys perhaps on a few levels, but you aren't going to be giving up. That is...not at least until the last level ;) The lack of a multiplayer mode and many unlockables do hurt the game's score. It would be nice to be able to duke it out with a friend, but I guess you can't have everything. If you are looking for a challenge here, go for getting all the "gold medals" in each level. There you'll find your challenge. So, overall, a great game. Add it to your collection, or at least give it a try. |
