A very good game overall, though probably not all that attractive to those who don't follow the series.

You see, the game's storyline is pretty much identicle to the one in the TV shows.  Now, I'm a little of a fan myself, so I really enjoyed this game.  The graphics are good, or rather they met the objective of the makers (which was to make it look like the TV show).  The controls and move system is very well done and easy to follow.  A minor problem is that the differentiation between the characters is not very evident.  The moves and styles of all the characters are fairly similar.

Like I said, everything is very relevant to the show.  This can be a good and a bad thing depending on the player (or so I've found).  One real fault with the game is that, though it has quite good replay value (because of all the modes you can unlock), I find myself not so interested in the game anymore after not too long.  The game does make for a good 1v1 battle game, if you have a score to settle with a friend.

Rent it for a few reasons:

A:  The game ends fairly quickly.
If you don't include the replay time, completing the game and unlocking everything (or everything you want to unlock) doesn't take more than a few hours.
B: It is quite possible that you will lose interest.
Though it is a great fighting game, it really doesn't have all that much behind it, and therefore tends to bore you.  It's always a good game to fall back on if your bored of your other games, however.
