| A game to put down on those Top 10 charts, most definitely. The best of the Twisted Metal's yet, I'd say. The car graphics are good. The weapon effects are over average, but still not quite up to that superb rating. Being that it's made by the makers of the first and second ones, we had quite high expectations for this game. We were not at all disappointed, therefore, by what we saw. Good environments. Much more vast levels were put into this game. A lot more effort in what the effects of the environment would be on your car. For example, there is a level in the game where you can release a ferris wheel on the streets, and it rolls around smashing cars. Cool? Yes. The special weapons were a big improvement, too. You will find that there are a lot more complex weapons in this game, rather than the normal: "shoot a missle, they're half dead now" sort of thing. I would hate to ruin this game for you, so I'll let you figure it out for yourself when you pick it up. It's a Greatest Hits already, so put $20 on that counter and walk away with some true goodness. |
