AUTO MODELLISTA

We have long awaited Auto Modellista since late 2002 and we finally got it. At first I wasn't sure if Capcom could dish out a good racing game because of DMC2 bombing in the gaming industry. I saw this game and just had to pick up a copy because I'm such a big racing game fan. I thought that if capcom can combine Cell-Shading with racing it should be great and it is. AM play like a true dream but every now and then your car may get out of whack. You can choose from a variety of real time cars such as Ford, Honda, Mazda, and many others and three secret ones to unlock. The graphics are phenominal  but the screen can get annyoing because of little lines that show speed from the car. Things on the street act very realistically, for example if you run of leaves of through grass you see it fly up. Graphics are great everything is detailed very well, even backgrounds were very stylish and the cars were magnificant. Everything was greatly detailed. The control could definatly get away from you. Sharp turns were made even sharper because if you wern't carful then you would spin out so it will definatly take some getting used to. The sound was great and had alot of cool music for your racing pleasure. This is by far the best racing game of the year so far and is a great game to add to your game collection.

SPLINTER CELL

Tom Clancy is known for his great games such as Raibow Six, Ghost Recon, and Rouge Spear. Now he tackles a third-person stealth action game just like Metal Gear Solid. In SP you will play has Sam Fisher and you will use real time weapons like your assault rifle and handgun. The suit you wear is actually a real thing that is undergoing testing. The graphics on this game are simply perfection the lighting effects and movement styles are great. This game makes you feel like you really are Sam Fisher moving through the environment. You can also take people and use them as human sheilds plus do the splits in between walls and knock the crap out of someone( unfortunatly you can only do this on one level of the game). So overall this is a great game with almost no flaws except some stiff controls.

WILD ARMS 3

The very successful RPG of Wild Arms started on the Playstation 1 and now it's on the PS2 and still maintains a great game engine. At the start of WA3 I knew that this was gonna be great because you got to play the prolouge of the character. The characters are Virginia, Clive, Gallows, and Jet. All characters have there own unique guns and abilitys. The game starts out with all four characters meeting up on a train and then you begin to play the prolouge and after that the real game begins. Throughout the game you will fight Janus and his pesky gang but there no problem at all to defeat( they just get scared a run away). The coolest feature was at the start of the game were you would fight the "Gaurdians" these things are amazing graphical and design wise. Overall the sound, graphics, and control are flawless.

RESIDENT EVIL CODE VERONICA X

Like the Wild Arms series the Resident Evil Franchise began on the PS1 and is probably the scariest game to date. Over the years there have been shoot-offs of this game and just flat out direct sequals. In Code Veronica X you play as Claire and Chris Redfeild. You will come across weapons(of course) to kill off those pesky blood-sucking zombies. The graphics are simply flawless and the best to date for the PS2. The control can get a little akward because of the stiff character movement. Overall this is a great game with little flaws.

DRAGON BALL Z ULTIMATE BATTLE 22

This game has been out for well over 5 years now but never has it come to the U.S. and now here it is. You can choose from over 22 characters in this game each with their own abilitys. You also have to ability to fight in air battles. Which means that you can fly and fight at the same time. This is the first decent game to come out for the Playstation 1 in quite a while because the production on Playstation games have almost halted since the 2000 release of the Playstation 2. The graphics on the chracters are really good but backgrounds are blocky and theres not enough arenas for a different fight every time. So you will fight in the same area at least 5 times is you play all the way through the game. To control is okay but some characters move slow. The slow movment of chracters in DBZ games seem to always show up ex. DBZ The legacy of Goku. The sound is good but for example in the desert areana each time you play it the music is the same. Overall this game could have been alot better and it seems like that if this game was a big deal it would have been released five years ago in America. I think that Infogrames is just looking to cash in.
