For the first time in Quoit Invitational history, 2 females made it into the final four. Sherry Sicard and Tracy Egan both made there first ever appearance in the final four.
Tracy faced Brian Brunaccioni in the first quarter-final game and handed him a quick loss while Jamie Brunaccioni did the same to Sherry Sicard knocking her out of the tournament.
It was then brother and brother in the semi-final match. Brian took the early lead but Jamie was able to double up a ringer sending Brian packing.
Jamie and Tracy played a two out of three match to decide the champion. Tracy was not able to throw ringers as she did earlier on in the day. Jamie seemed to find the post with ease as he took two games in a row and was the ultimate champion. Tracy did manage to capture the ringer championship for most ringers in the tournament.
Eric Egan was given a special award for being the youngest and newest quoiteer. Judy Mandula received the Good Sport award. Better luck next year.
