History: There's an incredibly interesting story behind the meeting of Doug Kaufer and Deana Manzi. Unfortunately it's told rarely because it's not exactly the sort of story that bodes well at family gathers. Or when either Doug or Deana are sober. So if it's possibly we'll miss that part of the story out and instead chose what happened next. Doug and Deana dated. A lot. In fact that seemed to do very little else for what must have been five years or so. Doug didn't really want to marry Deana, but he didn't want to be with anyone else. Deana just wanted a wedding ring. So she did something quite cruel. She 'accidently' got pregnant. Doug felt that at this point he really ought to propose to her. So he did. Deana was overjoyed, even thought she does look a bit fat in her wedding photos. But Doug and Deana were happy, as was their new baby, Megan. Until Deana's sister told Doug what had happened. Then Doug wasn't happy. So much so that Dog started sleeping with Deana's sister. Deana found out. And left Doug. Megan came too. To top off this soap opera, Doug married Deana's sister. Yep, Megan's father is also her uncle. It's an odd concept, she doesn't talk about it a lot. But Deana has managed to get over him. He only took a few therapy sessions. And the odd voodoo doll. She's married again. She didn't have to get pregnant this time, although eventually she did. Megan has a brand new sister. Yet oddly enough decided that she didn't want to change her name.
Personality: Megan would never say that there was anything about that was out of the ordinary. According to Megan she's just the average kind of girl. But then when she looks at the people around her, it seems that they're doing something quite different from what she's doing. Most people will think that they're normal, it's just that there's not really anything to measure yourself against. But then what is there that makes Megan stand out? Maybe it's her intense believe that she's boring. That she's got absolutely nothing going for her. Yep, it's not even modesty. Modesty is a virtue. Constantly needing to validate yourself is not. But Megan really can't help it. She doesn't think she's the prettiest, or the smartest, or the funniest. She can't see any one personality point about her that stands out from the others. The fact that she's moderately skilled in most areas is something that she can't quite grip. There seems to be either good or bad. Megan doesn't believe that there is ever a middle ground. You either have the skill or you don't. So she's trying. She wants to be the best. She wants to be the one that no one would ever dream of calling average.
Extra Curricular Activities: Drama club, Choir and Student Council
Editorial: Obviously they're idiots. Is there anything more that she can add that hasn't already been said? Megan does her best to ignore them. Either that or roll her eyes whenever she sees one. Unfortunately it just so happens that it's always the pretty ones that seem to be involved. Megan trying to ignore that fact. But then it doesn't matter, does it? Most of them aren't aware she exists. And she doubts they ever will be.
