Vercimilli's Italian Disco
Hey all,

Well the experience of filming Vercimilli's Italian Disco has come and gone, and I could probably write a pretty good short story about it.

Thank you all for your participation. I certainly learned a lot. About planning. About expectations. About getting there on the set and finding just what of your plans and expectations can be totally unrealistic under the best conditions, and what can happen when a bunch of real people with real lives get together and start breaking light bulbs.

Here's where we stand: After filming on Wednesday the 6th, losing our set on the 7th, and being back again to film late into the night on Monday the 11, we have approx. 75% of the film in the can. Not bad considering we had about 20% at the end of the first day. (All of the second day of filming's soundtrack is still trapped on Aubri's laptop, however. If you can figure out how to get it off, mlady, I'd appreciate it.)

It's obvious we sure could have used that third day. The 25% of film we are missing includes all of the close-ups of Harry during the "You Light up my Life" sequence and the side shots of the two of them during that scene, as well as the wine booth mixer confrontation between Barry and Victor.

After that we have our movie. Or a reasonable imitation of one.

Can you all email me your availability? Is there ANY day between now and when you all ship out that we can try to get back together for one more go? I'm as exhausted as you are, and I'm going to keep going on this, but if we don't get in a little more footage, we won't have anything. Of course, I have to ask Vic at Ottavios pretty please.

Sleep tight. Aubri, come get your laptop.

Eric
