All parents who are using my services must fill out an information sheet.
As well if you are using Full or Part time care there will you will be given a folder filled with sheets for you to read, sign and fill in. Below is a brief overview of policies and guidelines however once an interview has been astablished, and you are considering care with me a handbook will be given covering all policies and guidelines in full.
Dropping off and Picking Up of Your Child
Children are only allowed to be picked up by the guardians listed on your information sheet. A written letter must be given to me at drop off if any other person is to pick up. Please make sure the person picking up has a piece of ID, as I will be asking.
There is a late fee of $5 every 1/2 hour except for the first 15 minutes!
Booking in Your Child
Basically the earlier you book your child in, the better chance you will have that I will be available.
Try to give me at least a week's notice although you can always try your luck with a last minute call.
Check my calender to see if I am available the day that you need or to see activities that will be going on that day. I consider myself to be fully booked when I have 6 children for any given time.
Attendance
If your child is unable to attend or you are running late, please call and let me know as soon as possible, so that I can arrange my day or delay outtings. If you are half an hour late and I have not heard from you, then I will assume you are not coming and your space will be forfitted.
Outting Days
On days where we are travelling to special places, there will be restrictions on when you can drop off and pick up your children, unless you are willing to pick them up while we are at our activity. Also please make sure your child is properly dressed on days that we are going out. See Reminder for lists of items to back for certain days! Also I will always have my cellphone with me, incase you need to reach me.
Sick Children
I do have a sick area, where I can attend to your child without having your child around other children, however this is only to be used for colds, and other illness's that are not highly contagious. I do ask that if your child has a highly contagious illness such as pink eye, scabies, head lice, impetigo, strep infection, whooping cough, or chicken pox, that you have a back up plan. As I cannot allow them to be here, it is not fair to the other children. Your child must be symptom free (unaided by medication) for at least 24 hours before returning to childcare.
I also require a written note to administer any kind of medication to a child as well as how much to give, how often, and when the last dose was given.
If you are unsure if you should bring your child, please call in advance and ask.
Potty Training
I will do my best to assist in potty training, howevr children who are not 100% Potty Trained must be wearing a pull up or rubber pants.
Lunches and Snacks From Home
As of right now I have no children with allergies, however if this changes you will be informed, and the right measures will be taken to insure the safety of any children with allergies. As well please label your child lunch box/sippy cup/juice box or bag just in case!
Discipline Procedures
Positive Reinforcement, Verbal Warnings, Redirection, Timeouts. No Physical Punishment will ever be used.
Receipts
I give receipts for all transactions.
