Straightedge is awesome and straightedge people tend to really support each other and stick together. I think that's hella rad. If you ever see a kid with an X written on his or her hand, especially at a club or rave or something, it's because he or she is straightedge. We draw the X as a reminder to ourselves and others that we will not abuse substances and that we will stay in control of our bodies. "I find drug use disrespectful, self destructive and weak. Davey Havok, lead singer, AFI Some straightedge persons take it even further to encompass a vegetarian and environmentalist aspect. While I am a vegetarian and I try to be as undestructive as possible to the earth, I do not consider my vegetarianism part of my straightedge-ness, if you will. I just happen to want to be vegetarian as well. I think that sXe is pretty straightforward and usually pretty easy to follow (being a teenager, I'd say the sex part is the hardest, and I haven't had a whole lot of trouble with that so far).
