-[ The disturbing image of FroZtie smashing Nikki in the stomach with a lead pipe at Overdraft replays over and over again in The Butcher�s mind. To him, his plan on capturing FroZtie�s brother, Nemesis, was perfect. Near the end of the show he would literally trade Nemesis for Nikki and that�s what they did. But there is always one complication in a plan. Nothing goes off without a hitch. FroZtie, feeling desperate after being outsmarted and having the tables turned on him, decided he would take things a step further and hit Nikki in the stomach with a lead pipe. Then he would drive off with Nemesis, laughing like what he did was funny and would have no consequence. But that is where FroZtie is wrong. He will pay for his actions. ]-
-[ The Butcher is walking down the halls of Anaheim General Hospital with a scowl so frightening and serious, that bystanders get out of his way as he comes walking through. He has a small butterfly bandage over his left temple to cover a wound he suffered during his match with Phoenix Chambers, but he doesn�t care that he was injured. He�s been through worse in his career. ]-
-[ He is coming from the cafeteria lounge after waiting for Nikki to get out of surgery. He hopes that her internal bleeding is not too serious and that her unborn child is also safe. Down the hall he sees nurses wheel Nikki into a room so he assumes she just got out of surgery. As he starts to walk closer, he sees Cody yelling at the doctor, then punching the wall, and marching down the hall. He marches right past The Butcher without a word being said. He doesn�t like Cody�s reaction at all so he starts to run down the hall towards the doctor to find out what�s wrong. When he gets there, he finds Tomorrow Man bowing his head depressingly, muttering some words to himself, probably a prayer. The Butcher looks straight into the eyes of the doctor and says the first thing that usually comes to mind. ]-The Butcher: Is she going to be all right, doctor? Doctor: Yes, she�s in a stable condition. The surgeons were able to relieve the bleeding and repair the slight tear in her small intestines. The Butcher: What about her baby? Is it all right?
-[ The doctor pushes his glasses up to the bridge of his nose and sighs to himself. ]-Doctor: Due to the trauma her body received, her body was unable to absorb the blow. By the time she got to the emergency room, the baby was lost. I�m sorry, son.
-[ The Butcher looks at Tomorrow Man, who remains staring at the floor in despondency, and then looks back at the doctor. Although the child was not his, The Butcher becomes emotional inside and his rage continues to build. Somebody screwed with his woman and they won�t get away with it. Not by a long shot. FroZtie killed Nikki�s child in cold blood and the consequences of that action will be great. ]-The Butcher: Can I see her? Doctor: How are you related to her? The Butcher: What does it matter? Can I see her? Doctor: She needs her rest but I will allow you to see her for only a few minutes. She has to undergo some more tests tomorrow to see if any other damage was done. Depending on how well she recuperates, she may be out of here in a few days. The Butcher: Thank you, doctor.
-[ The doctor slips her chart into the file jacket that is screwed onto the front door and then walks away to go tell a nurse to make sure The Butcher leaves in a few minutes. The Butcher looks at Tomorrow Man; Tomorrow Man looks up at him. ]-Tomorrow Man: Go see her. I�ll go find Cody. The Butcher: Thanks.
-[ Tomorrow Man walks past The Butcher a few steps and then turns back around. ]-Tomorrow Man: I�m sorry. The Butcher: Go check on Cody.
-[ Tomorrow Man nods and continues on his way as The Butcher reaches for the door handle. He turns the knob and walks into the dimly lit and silent room. He closes the door behind him and moves farther into the room where Nikki lays on the bed, asleep. His own heart begins to beat to the rhythm of hers on the machine. He then kneels down next to her and takes her small limp hand into his. As he starts to caress her hand, he recalls a moment that happened back in February. Like an out of body experience, he remembers her doing the same thing while he was in the bed, nearly dead. But this time it�s different but so reminiscent of the past. Something horrible happened last time, but he feels an inner confidence hold back his anger and frustration and make him know that everything is going to be all right this time. Almost like God decided to quit giving him the middle finger and now was going to shake his hand and be by his side. The Butcher sets her hand back down and stands up. He then looks down at her beautiful face, the face he felt was special when he met her and the face that he wants to be next to forever. He then leans down to her ear and whispers into it. ]-The Butcher: Hang in there, Nikki. The time is near�
-[ He then kisses her on the forehead. Just as a nurse opens the door, he turns around and walks out it before she can say a word. The Butcher then starts to walk down the hall with a grin on his face, totally different from how he was only a few moments ago. The time is near. ]-
