The Butcher has found himself in quite a bind inside the gfwa OMEGA and outside in his real life. His idea of having Death Matches on global TV might help attendance or his plan could just be another failure in the attempt to make Japanese fans happy. The frustration is not only in the Front Office but is also being shown in the roster. Being threatened by Poke. Fights. A blown spot here and there. Even roster members resigning. These are all matter The Butcher will ponder over while Max Danger is away promoting the aging business. But will the Commissioner be able to keep his head in the game with the haunting memory of his past lurking in the back of his mind? This will truly be a challenging week for the Extreme Legend.
-|- Todays scene opens up in the high-rise section of Tokyo, Japan. The Butcher is having a nice stay at the Hyatt Regency as Commissioner of the gfwa OMEGA. Here on the 36th floor, most of downtown Tokyo is visible from his room. The day has been busy for the Commissioner, phone calls and meetings with venue owners that wish to cancel gfwa OMEGA shows due to low attendance. Hes talked most of them into allowing the shows to resume at their venues but others will take more convincing tomorrow. Now he sits in his room with the lights dimmed as the day turns into night. He takes a seat in the nice black leather chair and turns on the television looking for something to watch. He flips through the channels a few times forgetting that everything will be in Japanese. -|-
Nothing but crazy game shows and news. Damn, when did Japan get so boring?
-|- He finally begins to watch a game show where contestants try to outdo each other doing stupid things for a low amount of money as the prize. The Butcher laughs as tonights champion wins by attaching car jumper cables to a 12-volt battery and then placing the other ends on his nipples. The guy receives a large shock but its all worth it to him. -|-
Crazy people will do anything for money these days.
-|- The Butcher shakes his head and turns off the television. The sun sets behind a massive building across the street as the hotel room turns red and orange. The Butcher closes his eyes and rubs his temples, trying to make the day disappear. A door opening then closing softly from somewhere in the hotel room is heard. The Butcher pays no attention as he begins to fall asleep. In walks Nikki, wrapped up in a robe looking like shes up to no good. She walks over to The Butcher, kneels beside him and begins to rub his left arm. -|- Nikki: How was your day? -|- The Butcher comes out of his semi-conscious state and listens to her sweet voice break the silence. He yawns and lays his head against hers. -|- The Butcher: Id rather be beaten with a steel chair than have to go through another one of these days. How was yours? Nikki: All right I guess. I went shopping today and bought something that I knew would brighten up your day. -|- She stands up and opens up her robe showing that shes wearing a new pair of red panties and bra. She gets a naughty grin on her face but The Butcher sits there like he doesnt care. -|- Nikki: What, you dont like? The Butcher: Oh, no! I likeI like it a lot but Im just not in the mood. Today was just one of those days where I dont have any energy left at the end of the day. I just want to get a good nights rest. Nikki: Ok, well Im going to go make something to eat and then Ill join you. -|- She smiles and The Butcher smiles back at her as she runs off to the kitchen. He takes his shoes off and begins to walk to the bedroom. On his way to the bedroom he passes by the kitchen and watches his girlfriend make a sandwich. He slowly walks into the bedroom before she sees him. Too tired to undress, he takes his place under the sheets and dozes off. The scene quickly changes to his home in Harlem. He begins to dream about the night before his parents disappeared. It is December 27, 1969. In the background a phone rings as The Butcher enters his dream at his present age of 37. His father walks by him and The Butcher is happy to see his father again. He reaches out to him but his father doesnt know he is there. His father goes to answer the phone and starts to talk to the person on the other end. The Butcher walks into the living room where he finds his mother singing a song to two children, The Butcher and his young brother. His little brother is asleep on the sofa as his mother concludes the song. -|- Mother: It is time to go to bed now, children. -|- She picks up her sleeping son and begins to walk upstairs to their bedroom. The Butcher follows his younger self to the room. His mother tucks them in and they both nod off. Then there is a loud crash downstairs and his father is yelling; yet the children do not stir. His mother exits the room quickly to go see what is going on downstairs. -|- The Butcher: Nodont go! -|- He tries to grab his mother but he goes through her like a spirit sent to watch the evil that is about to occur in this happy home. The Butcher awakes from his nightmare to find that he is wet from perspiration. He looks at the clock to see what time it is. -|-
11:57 PM.
-|- He wipes the sweat off his face and looks to the left where his beloved Nikki lie, sleeping quietly. He swiftly gets out of bed making sure he does not wake her and exits the room. Still dressed, he walks over to his shoes and puts them on acting as if this is routine for him. He leaves the hotel room and begins to walk down the hall to the nearest elevator. He pushes the down button and the elevator doors fly open. He walks in, pushes the 1st floor button and begins his descent. After a brief moment the doors open and he finds himself on the 1st floor. He grins at the desk clerk as he walks by and then leaves the hotel. With no certain destination in mind, The Butcher begins to saunter down the streets of Tokyo. -|-
What monster have I become? This occurs every single night from the day it happened walking helps ease my mind from the tragedy that defines my life. I have chilling nightmares of that night when my parents vanished with out a trace every night and day. I wake from the nightmare, like I just did, and sometimes cry myself to sleep only the nightmare doesnt end when I wake. When I go back to sleep the nightmare continues and I have thoughts of what might have happened. I dont know for sure but I fill in the pieces every single night its a different piecenone true. They were taken. They left because they didnt love us anymore. They went out for the night and died in the dreadful neighborhood. I just got so sick of the different thoughts I had that I now go out late at night just to walk away from my fears. But I can never escape from my past. It is always there. When I go in the ring its there. When I go out to eat its there. When I sign autographs its there.
-|- The Butcher stops at a bench along the main street and sits down, burying his head in his hands. -|-
I wish that I could find them. I dont care whether they are dead or alive I just need to know what happened so I can end this insanity. Christ, just point me in the right direction. But I am being pointed, arent I? With this strange messenger. Im not getting my hopes up though. For all I know this person could be a psycho just getting his jollies off by playing with my mind. But I must have hope that there is someone out there that knows the answer.
Voice: Ive been watching you. -|- The Butcher unburies his head from his hands and see that there is a strange man dressed in black sitting next to him. The Butcher didnt even notice the man sit down next to him. -|- The Butcher: What? Man: Ive been watching you. The Butcher: What do you mean? Man: You come to this very spot every single night for the past 3 weeks. May I ask why? No bus stops by here. So what are you waiting for? The Butcher: I come here to think and what I am thinking is of no concern to you. -|- There is a silence that lasts for a minute or two and then it is broken by the mans voice again. -|- Man: Ive seen your wife around too. Shes beautiful. The Butcher: Listen here, punk, I dont know who you are or what you are trying to do but stay away from my girlfriend! Man: Oh, shes your girlfriend eh? I bet you she fucks really hard in bedheh! -|- The Butcher has heard enough and is poised to punch the offensive man in the head but instead he walks away angered. The Butcher, clearly pissed off, begins to make his way back to the hotel room as the man remains laughing his ass off. -|- Man: Dont forget to give her my regardshahahaha!
Make sure I punch him next time.
