� Don't Quit �
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
It was a rough week for four remaining Platoon 5 members and you can guarantee that they will not forget what took place. Cody and Tomorrow Man were the special guest referees in the Hellz Angel versus Devilz Messenger match that was supposed to bring an end to Devilz Darkside for good. Wrong! Hellz Angel and Devilz Messenger proved that their friendship is stronger than ever and they are willing to do anything and everything to win those GHC Tag Team Championship titles. But Devilz Darkside has never beat A Tendency 2 Start Fires in the many matches that they�ve faced each other in but they seem poised to pull off the first win when everything is on the line.
But enough of Cody and Tomorrow Man�s problems! Lets move onto the man that has defined the terms �hardcore� and �extreme� his whole career. The Butcher has returned to the gfwa OMEGA as a full time wrestler but that thought may have gone out the window as he is now fighting for his own life. Frostie may have picked up the win in the first ever Butch Match but he did not get the satisfaction of having The Butcher tap out to the Frost-Byte. Horribly disfigured, The Butcher proved that he would rather take a broken arm than tap out. The match was so graphic that if the gfwa OMEGA actually had a television deal, the whole main event would be censored. In a moment you will witness the end result of a man�s madness and pure lunacy. No, I�m not talking about Frostie. Frostie isn�t on the same level as The Butcher because Frostie is purely insane; The Butcher on the other hand is so purely insane that his insanity is actually sanity. Make sense? Frostie does not understand his insanity and doesn�t want it in his life. But The Butcher totally understands why he is insane and could not be any prouder to be the way he is. Coming out of retirement once again does not seem to be in the cards though. He�s one tough son of a bitch but there are very few people who could come out of this and wrestle inside the ring again. Just face it. He�s done.
Where do you draw the line?
-[ These are the words coming from inside Cody�s head as he looks through the glass window at his childhood hero who is barely alive. The Butcher is obviously in rough shape. You would think he would be lying in bed asleep but he is not. He is laying on this special bed, face down, due to the burns he received when he fell into the pit of fire. He isn�t conscious because he is in a comatose state. He never regained consciousness after passing out in the ring over 9 hours ago. His destroyed shoulder is put into a splint and a light cast. This was all the doctors could do seeing as he could very well be dead within hours. Tomorrow Man stands outside of the room with Cody, but can�t look at his friend. He can�t absorb the thought that this has happened and looking at his friend like this will just add to the pain. The most painful sight of all is Nikki�s reaction to all of this. She is inside of the room with her husband with a loss of all hope in her face. A nurse is there too and is slowly placing water onto The Butcher�s scorched flesh to keep it cooled down. Nikki just watches with teary eyes and he ruined make-up on her face. The doctor is telling her about The Butcher�s situation but she has fazed him out. ]-
When does all of this bullshit come to an end? Is there a line where you stop at or is the only line you ever face is the line that shows your heart is still beating? Some call me cool for what I do in the ring. �I never quit� they say. I would agree with them but now I cannot. After what I just witnessed at global TV, the rules of the game have changed forever for me. The Butcher�he never quit! Never gave up on winning over the fans. Never gave up in his quest to win the GFWA World Championship. He didn�t even give up when his shoulder was torn to shreds and there was no escape! He always said whenever it came to a situation like that, he would never give up. I always chuckled to myself when he said that because I knew once he was faced with the situation it would be much different. He would give into the pain. But he has the last laugh now. He proved me wrong. He proved to the whole world that the mind can over power pain and torture.
-[ Nikki stands up from her seat and walks over to The Butcher and starts to rub the back of his head, torn to pieces emotionally. The doctor quits his rambling and just watches because he knows she isn�t listening and probably never was. ]-
I have a limitation to what I can take. My mind can only hold out pain for so long until I give in and beg for mercy. But it�s smart. Live to fight another day. Jimmy Cortez had no limitation and now he�s paying for it with his life. It just makes me sick that someone with fame, a nice job, and an awesome wife would just throw it all away for the satisfaction of this blood sport. It�s damn right selfish! I mean, look at Nikki! She�s a tough girl but I know of no one on this planet who would feel comfortable with the fact that someone they love is on the brink of death. She�s an emotional wreck right now and I can�t imagine what would become of her if he didn�t make it. Damn right selfish I tell you! If he dies, he doesn�t have to live with the consequences of his actions�she does. She has to carry the burden because she coaxed him to come back. In her mind this has to be her fault. Damn The Butcher for making her feel this way!
-[ Tomorrow Man silently walks away towards a drinking fountain only feet away. He takes a few quick sips and then lets the water run down his face. He then wipes his face with the bottom of his t-shirt and returns to the spot that he left, starring at the floor once again. ]-
As much as this is The Butcher�s fault for not being rational, the blame has to go to Frostie. Like King Royce said, he will get his. As much as I feel jealously towards The Butcher for being married to a woman I love, my loyalty to him will remain firm during this time. The Butcher cannot enact revenge now, so I will do it for him. But as much as it appears that I will be doing this for The Butcher, I will not. I will be doing it for Nikki. I�m her form of revenge. I�m his form of revenge. I�m the fans� form of revenge. And I�m a form of revenge for myself. Frostie will pay for making people feel this way. But I will remain smart in the ring. I will not let my emotions take control or else I will end up in a bed next to The Butcher. That was his mistake and I will not make it. I will keep my head on straight and cage this animal. You have to remain sane to beat this man but you must have a certain level of hatred when facing him. It�s like walking into a cage with a well fed playful lion. He�ll only play for so long and then he becomes hungry. He becomes rabid. He becomes a different person. But he is beatable while insane and I will prove that this Sunday. Anything goes. Just the way it needs to be�
-[ Before Cody can finish his thoughts you notice the doctor and nurse working on The Butcher frantically. Nikki has backed away from him and has her horrified face covered by her hands. The Butcher has flat lined. Cody and Tomorrow Man look on terrified as the inevitable happens right before their very eyes. A corps of nurses and doctors rush into the room and help turn The Butcher over and begin with chest compressions. One nurse injects a fluid into his chest to get his heart beating again but it fails. After a few more chest compressions, the doctor asks for the diphibulator. A couple nurses force Nikki out of the room so she doesn�t have to witness this. Nikki quickly grabs onto Cody and hugs him so she doesn�t have to watch. Another nurse places some gel onto The Butcher�s chest and on the paddles. ]-
Doctor: Clear!
-[ The doctor sends a large shock wave through The Butcher to restart his heart. His pulse comes back momentarily but goes away again. The doctor charges up the paddles again. ]-
Doctor: Clear!
-[ The doctor shocks The Butcher again but this time his heart stays beating. After a few moments of observation, the nurses and doctors leave and only the original nurse and doctor remain. The doctor comes out to the hall and Nikki lets go of Cody. She tries to wipe her tears away and looks at the doctor. ]-
Nikki: Can I see him?
Doctor: �yes.
-[ She slowly walks into The Butcher�s room and takes a seat next to him. She holds his hand and she thinks she feels it slightly grip hers but she doesn�t overreact. The doctor looks at Cody and Tomorrow Man. ]-
Doctor: Gentlemen, we need to talk.
-[ The scene fades out as Cody and Tomorrow Man look at each other because they know that this cannot be good news. ]-
