The dandelions are in the sky
With many people standing by
And you, you see me cry in vain
And make me smile without the pain

You lift my head and take my hand
Suddenly we're in a different land
There's no one here but you and me
You could go so far as to call it fantasy

This special place we have inside
Is where we go to laugh and hide
From the world as we know it, cruel and cold
Dark nights and stormy winds of old

And spiders mingle in their webs
The ground, it quakes, waves flow and ebb
And when the world comes crashing down again
Our joy and laughter fall like rain

Love and peace be true enough
No matter how easy or too rough
We smile, we cry, our mirth ensues
We argue over different views

And then we sit and talk some more
The stars shine brightly above the shore
And I have no need to wonder why
You love me as we sleep beneath the sky.
