Sleep has touched my empty spirit
This dream shatters adversity into a thousand glittering pieces
Like the snow beneath the starlight
My mind drifts off to him and I grin
My own special secret, and nobody can figure it out
The ever-burning flame blazes higher than before
And I dance along the streets in my vision
Guided by the inner light that he helps to fuel
Awaken me not, as I have no reason to be
Call me naive or call me redeemed, or simply call me insane
The dream inside has corked the tears, except the ones of laughter
Snow-covered world and he, the joyous light within that keeps me warm
On lonely nights that are never truly lonely at all
Snow falls, but I am left untouched, yet somehow touched all over.
