We're all kinda stuck
Caught up in a rut
We just don't fit in
Like crooked candlesticks
Nowhere to turn, no place to hide
Makes me wanna just stop
And fly away

We've always been on the same wavelength
Always been the odd ones out
Always the misfits in this strange place
They call society

We don't have to be like everybody else
It's good to be different
Good to be out of place

We're not totally out of it
We know what's going on
I'd rather not be like them
I'm happy being me

So we won't let them ruin us
We'll take whatever they give us
Because we're proud and different
We're crooked candlesticks.

So they can think what they want
It doesn't matter to me
Either you like me or you don't
I really don't care

I'm strong and true to myself
And I don't need anybody who doesn't like me
I can do without them.

So I'll take my misfit self
And ignore everyone else
Because I can change the world

All I need is to be sure of myself
With a bit of love along the way
Because I'm different than most

And I like it that way.
