The mountains stripe
The grey of the landscape
With a flash of blue,
I feel it in my bones -
There's a winter sleep coming on.
It's heart-ache in disguise
The starlight dancing in stripes
On the sleepy surface -
Of the deep, grey sea
The moon is a blue light bulb
My cold lips whisper names
A song of sorts -
Melancholic, but sweet.
Blue bones want for fire
Light a match, let it burn
But the heat has gone to sleep
In a winter nest next to my bravery
Shaking like a leaf
I feel it in my cold, blue bones
Heart-ache in disguise
Melancholic, but sweet -
There's a winter sleep coming on. |
