November 21 PISD eNewsletter
Dear Plano ISD eNews Subscriber:
The Plano ISD Board of Trustees at its November 20 meeting voted to adopt an August 12 start date for the 2002-03 school year, which requires a waiver from the Texas Education Agency (since the date is prior to the legislature's state-mandated start date). The School Board will hold a public hearing regarding the calendar at 7:00 p.m. on November 27 in the First Floor Board Room of the Plano ISD Administration Building, 2700 W. 15th Street.
*The School Board approved the August 12 start date for 2002, but will study further which date within the scheduled Fall Break is most beneficial for the teacher inservice day. (Thursday is the calendar committee's recommended teacher inservice day.) The following calendar reflects the calendar committee's priority #2 recommendation to the Board of Trustees. See the calendar committee recommendations on the district Web site at: http://www.pisd.edu/AOS/calendar/2003.htm
