Factar chose her to help raise Chaos. Sophia did well in raising him and was very protective. When Chaos was ten years old he attempted to use the Black fire in Factar's temple. The fire could have killed himif not for Sophia. Sophia pulled him away, but the fire took her instead. The fire left Sophia in a comma. Factar knew of a way to revive her, but the cost would be too high. He left her resting in his temple until he could find another way. Chaos eventually learned what Factar already knew, but he was unaware of the risk. Chaos mated with Sophia knowing that new life would revive her.
