Our aim is to encourage awareness online of the environmental issues confronting all of us in this world we live on.
We do this primarily through this web site and by providing links to other like-minded organisations who display a caring and positive attitude in ecological, biodiversity and environmental matters that affect us all.
Its about what we each can do as individuals to firstly become more aware of vital issues that are degrading and over-utilising our natural resources and secondly to be proactive, no matter how little or how much, so that we each assume some personal responsibility for now and our combined future on earth.
Planet first 2000 was initiated by a Sydney, Australia cyber guy called Alex Dalrymple. Whilst loving the new technologies, he believes they can (and should) be harnessed to support broader critical social and environmental issues that face us all as we enter the new millennium.
From a modest start in January 2000, others who care and wish to become more active have joined him.....and we hope thousands more will also.
We do not seek monetary contributions, joining fees, or send you emails demanding or asking anything of you.
We ask only that you care and become more aware of the problems (and solutions) and endeavour personally ( to your own-decided-level of participation), to take any action that you think will assist our planet.
We hope a first step may be that you will send us encouragement and a commitment which you feel is appropriate for you now, to start doing something that assists - anything - no matter how small.
Our attitude and our actions that each of us takes in our daily lives has the potential to redress past disregards for our environment and to protect what natural biodiversity systems that still exist.
Please - do what ever you feel will help your environment.
