Some would describe well-being as simply "being well". To others it is a feeling of being safe and loved. Some choose to view it as loving who you are right now, where you are right now-- appreciating all that you have created, and all that you have become. And others would describe it as allowing yourself to be in the present moment without the pain of the past or the worries of the future. Trusting that all is well in the universe, and all is taken care of by the universe, experiencing that moment-to-moment oneness and harmony that is our universe.

We all have a purpose. We all have a reason for being, and a contribution to make. Your contribution simply may be to be the most loving person you can be. Or it may be to invent forms and discover abilities that have yet to be manifest in this world. Whatever your life's work and life's purpose, as you begin to believe more and more that your contribution is uniquely important, you will begin to become aware at an even deeper level, with greater precision, and more clarity just what that purpose is. Live in the present moment.
When we find fear and worry (concerns about the future), or anger and guilt (concerns about the past) clouding our sense of well-being, for many of us it is because we are not living fully in the present moment.
The present moment is our point of power.
Only in the present is it possible to take action to affect the world in which we live. Only in the present are we able to take action that can affect our future. So why do so many of us choose to spend so much time with thoughts of the past or thoughts of the future when we can only take action now?
The next time you find yourself worrying about some future event that might possibly occur, allow yourself for one moment to trust that you will take appropriate action if that possible future event becomes the present. Allow yourself to visualize a scenario where you are telling your family and friends how easy it was for you to handle this possible future challenge. It is likely you will find the decision to let go of having to create an immediate solution to this challenge freeing your mind to think new thoughts, have new ideas, and create greater solutions than you otherwise would have created had you continued to worry for you will be taking action from the perspective of "believing" there is a solution rather than from the perspective of "hoping" there is one.
The next time you find yourself reliving events of the past, reliving the anger, guilt or resentment of some deed done or not done by yourself or someone else, give yourself a gift. Allow yourself to live in the present. Allow yourself to forgive the past.
Does reliving the past undo any of the actions or lack thereof in the past? Does it change the circumstances of your life in the present? Does reliving the past make you feel better about yourself in the now? Living in the present doesn't mean to dismiss the past as unimportant. The past is important. It shows us as we move along our path of growth how far we have come. It illuminates how much we have learned. Learn from your past, and if there are any feelings of anger, guilt or resentment left over from it allow yourself to forgive the past and the role you played in it. Forgiveness is essential. Without it, we cannot be fully in the present. When we hold onto anger, guilt or resentment from our past, a part of us, a part of our consciousness and awareness remains in the moment in time in which these feelings were originated. That part of us is no longer able to grow. That part of us is no longer able to see beyond that moment of anger, guilt or resentment because its strong desire to change that moment in time rather than accept it blinds it to true reality. Think about an event or situation from your past that angers you or leaves you with feelings of guilt or resentment. Describe that situation to yourself. Then look at yourself in this past situation and describe yourself. Are you describing who were then? Or are you describing who you are now? Think about it for a moment... then give yourself the gift of loving who you were, knowing you did the best you knew how at the time. Knowing that because you are willing to learn from the past, you are able to create greater awareness of and greater opportunities in the present.
The more you are able to allow yourself to move into and "be" in the present, the more aware you are able to become of the present which in turn allows you to become more powerful in your life as well!
And as you empower yourself with the gifts of the present moment-- greater awareness of the opportunities around you, the belief in yourself and your ability to create what you want and to create your life's work and live your life purpose, and the trust that as you do you flow with and live in a loving and abundant universe-- you find yourself able to handle events and situations that perhaps only a few months ago would have been a challenge for you (if you could have handled them at all). You also become more able to easily look back at the past knowing you did the best you could with the knowledge and level of understanding you possessed at the time. You begin to be comfortable in your world (past, present, and future), and confident in your abilities, and create fewer and fewer of the situations that previously caused you such pain.
