The current flag of the URW was first designed in wadsic 258.127. It was designed to represent the people. The four horizontal stripes represent the four Republics that had origionaly formed the URW. The dark blue represents the power of the origional alliance and the green the blood that was shed to protect the people. The perfectly symetrical symbol in the upper left hand corner represents the unity of all species under one flag. The light blue in the background of the upper left corner is meant to represent the vastness of space that these people have come together in.
