The Plainfield Area
Jaycees is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization comprised of men and
women between the ages of 21 and 39 in the Plainfield, Illinois (USA)
area. We are part of a larger organization, the Illinois Jaycees, which
is a part of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce. The term Jaycee
is short for Junior Chamber of Commerce.
We promote leadership
training and the development of personal skills for our members through
community involvement. Jaycee members develop new skills and enhance existing
ones by becoming involved with our many projects. By becoming involved
in organizing projects for the community, members have the opportunity
to realize hands-on experience that will ultimately sharpen one's leadership
and management skills.
Membership
in The U.S. Junior Chamber has its privileges! Besides receiving the opportunity
to impact your community, your annual membership fee in the Plainfield
Area Jaycees entitles you to a multitude of other benefits as a member
