Character Physical Description:
Standing at 6 feet, Ian weighs 170 lbs and is built strongly yet slim enough to be very agile. Ian has brown hair and very Asian looks, which come from his father. Nivosus prefers to wear a long sleeve shirt of darker tints such as blues or of black accompanied by jeans and black leather shoes. The sleeves hide his arms were he ritualistically cuts himself. When he summons his magic powers he takes on the identity of Nivosus Sanguis. The features of Nivosus Sanguis can best be described as the serene landscape of the mountains covered freshly with white snow. His hair is that of pure snow, falling to his shoulders, and his skin the blue soul of ice. Even his face reflects the stoic rigidity of ice. His eyes are what betray his snowy features, they are a deep vivid blood red. His arms too expose red cuts against the whiteness of his arms. His posture, rigid, is constant like the ice burgs that slowly plow their way through the mountains.
Character's Personality:
Ian has become a master of disguising his emotions by employing fabricated emotions, which are indistinguishable form the reality. This is a defense allowing him to avoid true emotional connection on any level, finding it too painful. As a release of all the build up of deep-rooted emotions he cuts himself but even that has deeper causes. He normally comes across as a decent young man, normal in all respects and having perfect manners. In truth he is a rebellious angry young man who is lost in a maze of lies set up by himself.
Character's Background:
His mother belonged to a cult of mages, whose organization was old and ancient like the powers they possessed. They called themselves the Venefici Glaciei. This group of mages specialized in the magic of snow and ice favoring water�s ridged qualities. Ian�s father was never around as Ian grew to a man. Ian had never seen his father but knew that his father too dealt in the realm of magic. His father, it was said, practiced a particularly nasty type of magic. Rumored a master in blood magic and it is said that Ian retains some of this magic in his blood passed down from his father. His eyes are evidence of his father�s influence being red instead of the natural pale of snow when he changed into Nivosus Sanguis. Nonetheless he was brought up as an ice mage and was taught the magic that accompanies such a position. However, he was scorned upon for not being a full-blooded ice mage and for being fatherless. Ian�s strings soon snapped.
During the age of forthcoming and discovery, the ripe age of 14, the pressure only seemed to build, and reaching their limit he revolted against the rest of the order. Having cornered Ian and accusing him of a crime he did not do the leaders of the cult abused him emotionally and physically. Taken over by an overbearing force and will he began scratching his arms until they bled profusely. The mage leaders, shocked, were taken back only for a moment but leaving them little time to react to the vehement explosion of Ian. Throwing forward outstretched arms covered in blood, which moved from his arms and weaved through the room wrapping around the leaders and strangling them to death, proceeded by an explosion leaving the leaders on the ground covered in a light sprinkle of bloody snowflakes. Ian collapsed from massive blood loss but awoke abandoned on the streets, his mother must have moved him. Since then he would fall into a ritual of cutting his arms, falling into a trance where strange things always happened. Later around 15 an individual found Ian and was able to establish Ian in the society. Ian called him father for that is what this man was like to him but his real name is Richard Gray. Richard never understood Ian but he did care dearly for him.
When Ian was 18 he fell into a delirium and found himself stumbling through a park on a black rainy day. He fell into a red portal and was thrown into an alternate world in another universe. He had fallen into the world of the blood mages. There he found his father and his father�s clan. He was trained in the ways of the blood mage but had to return after a few years. The world of the blood mage�s was not his own and for the same reason his father returned to the world of blood mages Ian had to leave.
Character�s Abilities:
Nivosus Sanguis is specialized in the magic arts of ice sorcery and in wielding blood magic, although it is often awoken by deep emotions and spirals out of control. Having grown up on the streets he devised his own �style� of martial arts, picking up a few moves here and there.
Character's Weapons:
He carries on him an ornate knife, which he uses to cut himself although it can double as a weapon. The knife has a golden handle in the shape of a beautiful dragon winding around itself. The blade is decorated with golden markings, written on it are ancient words undecipherable to Ian.
