I was born near Milan during a cold winter night, on January 13, 1966. I have been living in the same area since 1982, but my previous years were spent in other Italian regions, almost always near the sea.

I studied Electronic and Biomedic Engineering at the university. My studies were concluded by a degree thesis about models of fetoplacental blood circulation, focused on the development of models able to early detect pathologies affecting the human placenta, based on experiments of perfusion.
In 1994, after the military service, I joined a big company manufacturing semiconductors, to follow an opportunity allowing to put together my interests (electronics and traveling, specially in Asia) and my skills (problem solving, teamwork).

My professional position is Product Engineering Manager at STMicroelectronics. My team is in charge of the optimization and productivity management of the testing flow for mixed-signals integrated circuits (Systems on Chip for telecommunications), especially for new technology devices (45 to 180 nm).
