Acromantula: The Acromantula is a massive eight-eyed spider with the ability to comunicate with humans though anything it says will probably have something to do with eating you. Acromantulas live in colonys in dense jungle or forests, it is reported that there is a large colony in scotland.
Ashwinder: The Ashwinder is a snake like creature that forms when a magical fire is left untended for too long. They only live for an hour and their eggs are useful in potions. quite boring really.
Basilisk (king of the serpents): The Basilisk is created by hatching a chickens egg underneath a toad, and the first ever Basilisk was created by Herpo the foul.The Basilisk is a sickly green colour and can grow upto 50 feet in length, it is dangerous even to powerful dark wizards and only parseltongues may control it.
Centaur: The Centaur is half-human half-horse, and dwells in dark forests. Centaurs are known as very mysterious and are good at divination,astronamy, healing and archery.
Chimaera: The Chimaera is a rare greek-creature whitch is vicious and blood-thirsty goat with a lions head and a dragons tail. Only once has a chimaera bin slain and the wizard died anyway. The Chimaera is reputed to be one of the most dangerous magical creatures ever.
Demiguise: The Demiguise is a herbivore but even so it is still very dangerous, it has the ability to make itself invisible and its fur is used to make invisibility cloaks (this is why they are so rare).
Dragon: The Dragon is the most famous of all magical creatures and there is no need for me to explain what it is, except that is very dangerous and damn near impossible to keep as a pet.
Erkling: The Erkling is an elf-like creature that emits a high pitch cackle that lures children who it then preys upon.
Erumpent: The Erumpent is a large african creature of amazing strength, sometimes mistaken for a rhino. It looks exactly the same as a rhino except it has a long rope like tail and has a poison filled horn.
Graphorn: There are not many sightings of Graphorns but they look a bit like a camel and have two massive horns, sometimes trolls are seen riding them but this is rare.
Jarvey: The jarvey is like an over-grown ferret except that it can tlk but it limits itself to very rude phrases.
Kappa: The Kappa is a small, vicious water demon with long, sharp claws. Found in Japan.
Kelpie: Another water demon from Britian can take any form it likes, but it mostly takes the form of a horse and lures people to mount its back then dives to the bottom of the lake and devours the unlucky person.
Lethifold: The Lethifold resembles a thick cloak that glides along in the night. It dwells in tropical places and like the dementor only the Patronus charm works against it.
Manticore: The Manticore has the head of a man, the body of a lion and the sting of the scorpion. It originated in Greece and is very rare though its sting causes instant death not many have been attacked by it. It is known to hum while devouring its prey.
Nundu: The Nundu is the most dangerous magical beast, it is a gigantic leapord that can move silently. Its breathe causes desease and can wipe out entire villages.
