| Hello! Let me introduce myself I am on the forums as existential~freak and every month a different Placebo fan is interviewed for this part of the magazine. So this month Im taking over and Im asking Miki the questions to see how she can handle it.
Hi Miki How are you today? Very good thank you. So you like to ask other people how they found Placebo but how did you get into them? It all started about six years ago when I saw a small article of Brian in a magazine and I found him interesting and then a few months later I saw a performance of Pure Morning live on MTV2 and it went from there. Why do you like Placebo? I like Placebo because they are completely unique and their songs have good meanings combined with really good instrumentation. Do you have a favourite song? Just one no I have a selection; Nancy boy, Infra Red, Space Monkey, Pure Morning, I Do, Ill Be Yours. How many times have you seen Placebo live now and which one was the best in your opinion? Ive seen Placebo live about 11 times now, I think the best one for me was the Brighton Concorde II in 2003, it was the first gig I went to and it was perfect, a nice venue and good sound. The Bercy one was brilliant too and Wembley. Ive never been disappointed by any of their gigs. What Do you make of Meds? I love it. I think its definitely the best album yet. Have Placebo changed in your eyes over the years and in what way? They have and they havent really. I think the music has matured with them but deep down I think they are still the same Placebo. What inspired you to do Placebo extreme? It started in one of my college half terms. I was bored so decided to attempt to build a website and five hours later Second Sight was online. It started out being very basic but as I learnt more about web design and attracted more visitors it got bigger. Im happy with it now as it looks good and has had over 4000 visitors sine the re-launch in September. Are you happy with the response and feedback you receive from Placebo fans? Yes completely. Placebo fans are very supportive of each other. There are a few that dont appreciate much but a majority of the other fans are great. Everyone Ive met and spoken to have been lovely. How would you describe Placebo to others? How do you describe Placebo to anyone? You just have to listen to them and make your own mind up. Do you think Placebo will make more albums and what are your expectations? I think and hope they will be going for a very long time. Ive never seen them become stagnant like other bands do, they are always fresh so I think theyll be around for a while yet. |
