About Us

The PL Handbell Choir was formed in 1987. It was named "Daisybells" - in honour and remembrance of the late Mrs Daisy Pang who donated the bells. The group started with 3 octaves of bells in 1987, and now have 5 octaves of bells and 6 octaves of chimes.

The Handbell Choir plays at major school functions and concerts and has also been invited to play at churches, public concerts, and in aid of charity, and at hotels during the Christmas season. Some of the highlights include playing at the official opening of Travel World, the opening of the Assembly of World Federation of Methodist Women, Salvation Army Home and Japan IBM 6th Convention. The Handbell Choir has also been on concert tours to Perth (1988), Malaysia (1992), Bangkok (1995) and Brisbane (1996). The teachers in-charge and choir members have participated in the biannual International Handbell Symposium held in Japan (1998) and the UK (2000).
