213 pounds. That is down 1 1/2 from yesterday. I have lost 35 pounds now since July 15. That is an average of .39 pounds per day or 2.73 pounds per week.
I did my 6 miles this morning in 57 minutes; 1 minute better than yesterday.
Lesson learned: Last night at Bible Study we talked about Hebrews 11:36-40
36 Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented-- 38 of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, 40 God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.
and Romans 12:4-5
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
What we discussed is that when one member suffers, the whole body suffers. If one part of the body is suffering and the rest of the body does not realize it, then something is wrong. When you smash your thumb with a hammer, doesn't your whole body respond? Your other hand holds the smashed thumb. Sometimes you jump back and go get some ice to put on the smashed thumb. Where the problem lies is when your body doesn't respond to a body part that hurts.
If you break your leg, then your arms take over. You either use crutches or a wheelchair in which your arms and hands are responsible for mobility.
