Homecoming Weekend

Well, what can I say about Homecoming weekend. It was a great, great weekend. Friday started off at Darcy Magee’s for Happy Hour. I’d say about 15 alumni and a few active members showed up and had way to many drinks to start off the evening. As anyone who was there knows my dad was with me as he came up for the bachelor party the next day. He couldn’t believe how great everybody that was there was. He never went to college and after seeing my grades over the years, he had a bad impression of fraternities as most outsiders do. After that night he finally realized why I hold my brothers in such high regard. It was a great start to a great weekend.

After happy hour, and after dropping off my dad, all the alumni went over to the fraternity house party. About 5 or 6 more alumni showed up and had a blast. The girls that were there were quite impressive and fun to be around. The guys in the chapter made all the alumni feel welcome and it was great to see everyone interacting. A few hours later we went down memory lane to a bar most of us will remember as Inbo, Inbo Beach club or RPM’s. It’s now called BadaBings. As is normal for reunion weekends Jim Howe was a dancing fiend. After about 11 hours of drinking and fun we all parted ways and went home for the evening.

Saturday a few alumni and chapter members made the football game. Unfortunately I was not one of them. Hope everyone had a good time.

Then came Saturday night. The bachelor party. From what I remember it was one of the greatest nights of my life. There ended up being about 60 people there, 35 of which were brothers. Everybody got to meet my friends, my family and my new family. My dad and Amy’s (my fiancée) Uncle Paul both told me that everyone of my brothers they talked to said great things about me and they were all wonderful guys. They said each one of them told stories about how I really meant something to this fraternity, and for that I want to say thanks because this fraternity means so much to me that to hear that I really made a difference really made me feel very good about myself. My brothers have always been good about making me feel that way and for that I want to say Thanks.

Now to my understanding a few alumni and active members heard I was not having strippers at the party. Being the brothers they are they all chipped in and made sure my future wife would be pissed at me for the rest of my life by getting not only 1 but 2 strippers (who really really liked each other). Little did we know that 1 of my old highschool friends felt the same way and brought another one for fun later in the evening. I’d like to say thanks to everyone who bought me a shot (just about everyone did). My toilet was my best friend later that night. I do have some black spots in my memory because of too much alcohol consumption.

I went home after the party because I could no longer stand. I understand a bunch of guys went downtown and a few headed to a bar near campus. Everyone seemed to have a blast. Thanks for getting me in so much trouble, as I would not have wanted it any other way.

The guys in the chapter now were great hosts and really enjoyed having all the alumni there. Were gonna start early on founders day (yes Saint Patty’s day is on a weekend this year) this year. I hope to see a ton of guys there.

Donations needed!!!!!!!!!

I hate to say it but the chapter is in trouble. The guys in the chapter now are really trying they're best to make up for past monetary problems. They've even gone as far as using money suppose to go towards national initiations and putting it towards catching up on debt. National has stated that if the total amount is not paid they will pull the E-Z charter (it's been threatened in the past but this has gone beyond serious). At the last BOG we advised them that we would try to raise $1900 if they took care of the rest(about $4000), well guess what...They Did!!!!!!!!! Now we have to hold our end of the bargain.
I know of some guys who made pledges to donate a few weeks ago but were still short. Anything will help. And trust me I know how hard it is even to donate a little(I have a wedding coming up and am flat broke but I'm trying to gather even 25 bucks and donate as much time as possible to the chapter).
If you'd like to donate please contact Craig Stepien at [email protected] or mail a check made payable to Craig and send it to him at 5945 King Hill DR. Farmington NY 14425. Or if you need any additional information feel free to call Jeremy Kirsh at 716-833-5250.
Every little bit is appreciated.

E-Z gets linked to National!!!

Our little corner of the world wide web has officially been linked to the PKT National website. Hopefully now if their are any alumni out there that don't already know about the chapter site they will be able to find it through the National one.My thanks go out to Jessica Leary at National for her help.

Alumni Weekend

_March 16th and 17th we had our annual reunion. This year was a huge success. Personally I had a great weekend talking about old times and hearing stories from guys that were in the fraternity before I was.

_The guys in the chapter now showed us a great time. They really enjoyed having alumni from as far back as the Founding Fathers of EZ showed up. They threw a great house party Friday night and a party at the old Spankys club got a little rowdy Saturday night.

_The weekend started off with a bunch of alumni meeting up for happy hour on Chippewa Street. Craig Stepien, Jim Howe, Dave Katzen, Mark Fiorini, Steve Goldstone, Dean Tyrone, Jeff Griner, and myself started the night with a cocktail or two. After that we split up and got food. Craig, Jim and I headed back to the hotel where we met with Lou Buono(who is now traditionally late to all reunions) and John Vamos. After meeting up with the rest of the guys we headed over to the house party where things started getting nuts.

_Between alumni and current brothers there must've been 70-80 guys their(not to mention a few fine women that the current guys know). I was glad to see the likes of Brian Marciniak, Brian Blake, Eric Cudeck, Pat Downs,Tom Colaraco, and a few others.

_As per usual Saturday a bunch of the alumni headed up north to Casino Niagara (as well as a few other places). That evening we met up at the old Spankys where even more alumni showed up. Rob Buono and Darren McCarty came up from Rochester and Jay Hanley as well as a few other brothers from the area made our numbers even larger. About 1:30 the Alumni headed downtown to McMonkeys and Zoo Bar to finish off the night.

_All in all it was a great weekend and I am looking forward to the Homecoming festivities.
