Cut Man's Stage (Enhanced)
Mega Man 1 (NES)This is an enhanced version of Cut Man's stage theme. It's a pretty hyperactive song, but it was a lot of fun to make. I did this from the Genesis log, even though it's for the NES.
Fire Man's Stage
Mega Man 1 (NES)A pretty standard Fire Man MIDI. The lead is actually a Fretless Bass, but otherwise there's nothing really out of the ordinary here.
Ice Man's Stage
Mega Man 1 (NES)Ice Man's stage theme. It follows the actual NES song very closely in that there are 4 tracks, one each for Square 1, Square 2, Triangle, and Noise (Percussion).
Elec Man's Stage (Enhanced)
Mega Man 1 (NES)This is an enhanced version of Cut Man's stage theme. It's a pretty hyperactive song, but it was a lot of fun to make. I did this from the Genesis log, even though it's for the NES.
Wily's Fort, Stage 1 (Arranged)
Mega Man 1 (NES)An instrumental arrangement of the first stage in Dr. Wily's Skull Castle. This MIDI is dedicated to Wave-chan (Irene).
Wily's Fort, Stage 1
Mega Man 1 (NES)A more "traditional" version of the above song, with less emphasis on instrumentation and more on accuracy.
Bubble Man's Stage
Mega Man 2 (NES)This is, to date, the closest reproduction available on the internet of Bubble Man's stage in General MIDI. This is my favorite of the 8 stage themes in Mega Man 2.
Quick Man's Stage (Enhanced)
Mega Man 2 (NES)Quick Man's Stage as you've never heard it before- echoing Drawbar Organs play the melody, and the bass is deep enough to rattle your fillings if you play this through a decent pair of speakers and subwoofer!
Crash Man's Stage
Mega Man 2 (NES)I'm not too pleased with this MIDI for one reason: it's missing the countermelody. This was one of the first I ever sequenced, and I'll eventually go back and fix it.
Skull Castle Mk.II, Stage 1
Mega Man 2 (NES)Greatest. Mega Man. Music. EVER. My version sounds good, but it doesn't really do justice to this song, the national anthem of Blue Bomber fans everywhere.
Spark Man's Stage (Enhanced)
Mega Man 3 (NES)Much like Elec Man's stage, the echoing Square Lead carries the melody. This is one of the better songs from Mega Man 3, which is known for its soundtrack.
Top Man's Stage (Enhanced)
Mega Man 3 (NES)An arrangement of Top Man's trippy stage music for organs (Church and Drawbar) and Square Lead. I sequenced this on my 17th birthday, too ^_^
Proto Man's Fort
Mega Man 5 (NES)Probably the best song from Mega Man 5. Spoiler: Proto isn't really evil, he's been framed. For not being evil he sure has a hell of an obstacle course in store for you though...
Plant Man's Stage
Mega Man 6 (NES)I swear, I must be the only guy on the face of the Earth who can make this sound depressing. I like this sound better than the real thing, actually...it's less in-your-face cheerful than the real McCoy.
Flame Man's Stage (Enhanced)
Mega Man 6 (NES)Another superpowered organ concerto. This song has a vaguely Middle-Eastern feel to it, which makes sense considering Flame Man guards an oil field and even wears a turban.
Burner Man's Stage
Rockman and Forte (SNES)This song is near-impossible to reproduce exactly in MIDI, but I tried. The music in R&F sounds a little too loud sometimes, as if the developers purposefully set the preamp too high when recording.
