Biography
������� At nineteen years of age, Meristem is the youngest-ever head of the Gigaea Science Department. She graduated the Green Guild with full honors and three Ph.D's in the sciences. Meristem is one of Sylvane's longtime friends and also her mentor. Along with Zora, she is helping Sylvane on her way to a career in marine biology. She is cheerful and optimistic by nature, and often helps to brighten Sylvane's outlook on life.
��������Meristem is very sensitive to the environment. She knows the potential damage that the dimensional distortions could cause, and fights to preserve the ecosystem of Laranda. She has already seen mutations brought on by the disturbances and wants to prevent further damage to the Larandan biosphere. She is also fighting to help Sylvane since the two were always close, but she has never let Sylvane know how she really feels about her. Now, with her secret love eating away at her, Meristem has a tendency to become distant and detached around Sylvane, and also has a hard time hiding that something is amiss. Fear of losing Sylvane as a friend makes Meristem keep her silence on the matter, but how long can she hold out?
Character Facts
- Meristem can read the soil content, acidity, and moisture by bonding to a plant and making the roots an extension of herself for a short time. Her feathers are actually aerodynamic leaves and contain chlorophyll.
- Along the same lines, Meristem can concentrate solar energy in her body to power up her healing magic. White magic is a specialty of hers, and the solar energy can nearly double the strength of her recovery spells.
