| This picture was inspired by the chapter "The Concert" written in Gary Soto's Small Faces. It shows that both rich and poor can appreciate the same things. | ||||||||||||||||

| This picture was inspired by the election of 1912 in which Woodrow Wilson wins. As for the caption, it says: "Teacher!" exclaimed Woodrow, "I've finished my party plate for class." Miss Liberty replied, "That's great Woodrow, but what about Teddy and William?" The little donkey replied, "They broke their plate in half." There off to the side are Teddy the little moose and William the little elephant. They are sad because they broke their party plate in half. The moral of the story is that had they worked together, their party plate would not have been broken in half and would have been given to the teacher first. |
