Castles - Town-walls, spires and finials

Albrecht Dürer - ( 1471 - 1528) - View of the city of Innsbruck (just the essential part is shown). No exact date was given.

None of the Italian castles with "swallow tails" has any towers with finials ("lightning conductors"). This has a North- to Middle European feeling for me. As evidence see a drawing by Dürer. Especially the tower with the double finials is striking. Compare this with the tower on f86.
