Strange, old, concrete and metal structures. It's possible to walk over concrete gangways and wooden bridges over the water. Very difficult to catch the atmosphere on film. The whole place stinks. I don't know if that's rotting grain dust or the shit of all the pigeons that gather here. Still it would be a great location for a 1950 gangster movie. |
I haven't taken the time yet to explore the ladders and stairs of this place. On Sunday it's very quiet. Only a lone fisherman or jogger comes through here. And just around the corner there are several very busy streets: Maashaven, Brielselaan and Putselaan.
