| The Kethelplein is the crossing of the A20 and the
A4. The A20 is the northern part of the Ring. It runs
from Hoek van Holland to the East. The A4 goes south, and
it passes under the river. In the picture at the top you are looking North towards Berken & Rodenrijs. I have to explore this area in more detail. Notice the strange unfinished bridge. The A4-highway should have been extended north many years ago, but the project never really started. The sand-dyke for the road is already in place, but only grass grows on it. In the picture at the bottom you are looking West, towards the old center of Schiedam. At the left you can see the high buildings at Rotterdam Central Station (7,5 km). |
