After I graduated from high school, I moved to Chicago to work for Reynolds Metals Company. They were located in the Wrigley Building. I lived on Rush Street, just eight blocks from the Wrigley Building. I did various types of office work. I also worked for Kraft Foods for a short time. I spent most of my weekends with my family, commuting on the Illinois Central train. |

While I was on vacation one year, my family and I took a trip to Springfield, Illinois. We visited New Salem, the log cabin village where Lincoln lived as a young man. Here we are standing in front of the Illinois State Capitol building. |
