| We had heard it was very romantic to watch the sun set over Paris from atop the hill where the Basilique du Sacre Coeur sits in the Montmartre area. As the sun sets all of the lights throughout Paris turn on one by one. Paris is affectionately called "the City of Lights" and here you can see why! There were some street musicians putting on a little concert on the steps of Sacre Coeur and they were pretty good! We sat and watched the sun set while listening to a concert in English! They must have known the audience they were catering to! After climbing the hill, sitting and watching the sunset is very relaxing! |

| Petit Trianon ~ Originally built for Louis XV's mistress, Madame de Pompadour, it later became a favorite retreat for Marie Antoinette. Behind it rests Hameau, a mini village where the Queen could play with a flock of perfumed/groomed lambs and tend a garden. |
