We stopped by the village of Scopwick on our way home from church in Lincoln to see the grave of John GIllespie McGee, Jr. He was a young pilot from Canada that flew with the RAF . He was killed during a training flight and the poem "High Flight" was found after his death with some other letters he had written. This little memorial/cemetery is tucked away in the little village of Scopwick, no more than 15 minutes from where we live in Woodhall Spa. There are quite a few graves of other RAF pilots in the cemetery, most of whom died in their 20's. |

While Paul was doing some work at the base, I showed Mom, Dad & Christa around Woodhall Spa. I introduced them to Chelsea Buns (Paul's favorite!) and we browsed in the local shops, butchers and St Peters Church. Of course, it was sprinkling the whole time! |
