Drayton 'A' v Sprowston 'B' 25th July 2009
Drayton 'A' 164 Sprowston 'B' 167-7 Captain Graham Crowe lost the toss again and Drayton were put into bat. Unfortunately Drayton lost a wicket in the first over. Chris Coupland put in a quick 16 runs before being bowled out, followed by Crowe who also put on a quick 10 before being bowled. Nash Panday was next in and scored 5, followed by Jason Trett who put on a good 21 before being caught off Evans. Neil Chamberlain was next in for 13 runs, followed by Saul Simpson who finished 23 not out. Unfortunately opening batsman Nigel Massingham was then bowled for 35. Tony Gregory then came in and was given LBW to a full pitch toss. Jamie Scarff came in and scored 6 off his first ball and eventually reached 17. Ryan Pointer came on in the final over but made no runs.

Sprowston got off to a good start with Drayton having several LBW appeal�s turned down. The first breakthrough was made by Ryan Pointer. When Nigel Massingham returned, for his second spell of bowling at medium pace, he took three wickets in one over, with Trett at the other end breaking through for two wickets. Unfortunately Sprowston secured victory in the 44th over. David Pointer, who took the place of Nash Panday (who had to leave at the tea interval due to family illness), took two outstanding catches.
