Summary: Just going to take the course of events in a different direction after the episode �Cinderella Story.�

Pacey dropped Joey at home, and helped her inside with her bags.
�Bye, Potter,� he said softly and then went out the door.
Joey watched him leave. She still couldn�t quite grasp the events that had taken place since she left AJ.
She watched out the window as he got into his truck and backed out of the drive. �Bye, Pacey,� she whispered as a tear rolled down her cheek.
Pacey was driving down the road and suddenly remembered...Buzz! He was supposed to go get him today. �Oh, man,� he said, �just what I need right now.� Buzz was a good kid. They had finally established some kind of a relationship, but he asked so many questions! And Pacey did not want to answer any questions about the beautiful girl he had told Buzz about the night before. However, he did have an obligation, so he turned off onto a side street and headed toward Buzz�s house.
After picking him up, they road on for a few minutes in silence.
�What�s eatin� you?� he asked Pacey.
�Nothing.� Pacey answered.
�You�re lying. I know you are. So don�t tell me if you don�t want to. Where are we going today. I hope it isn�t some place lame. Are we going to work on your boat again?�
�You know, Buzz, I don�t feel much like working on the boat today. What would you like to do?�
�It�s about the girl isn�t it?� Buzz asked, ignoring Pacey�s question completely.
Pacey glared at him. When did this kid become so receptive? When he was two???
�I knew it! It is about the girl! The one that�s such a hottie. So what happened? Did you see her? Did you talk to her?� Buzz asked.
�Yeah, I saw her. But I didn�t get much of a chance to talk to her.� Pacey answered.
�You kissed her didn�t you? Bad move. I could have done better than that.�
�Listen, kid...� Pacey started
�So, the way I see it, you should go back and try to talk to her.�
Pacey turned up the radio thinking that he could handle no more advise of a child...how old was he anyway? Nine? Something like that. But at any rate, there was no way this kid knew more about his life than he did. No way!

What am I doing here, Pacey asked himself as he stood on the Potter�s front porch? He rapped on the door and nervously shifted from one foot to another until Bessie opened the door.
Pacey cleared his throat. �Hey, Bessie. Is Jo here?�
�Yeah, come on in, Pacey, and I�ll get her,� Bessie said opening the door for him. �Joey...you have company!�
�Be right there, Bess,� she yelled from the other room. �Hey, I finished giving Alexander his bottle for you, and then I put him down for his...� Joey�s face fell and her smile faded when she saw Pacey. �...nap,� she finished.
�Thanks Jo. I really appreciate it.� Bessie sensed the tension in the room and looked back and forth from Pacey to Joey. They were just staring at one another with a blank expression. �I�ll leave you two alone to visit,� she said. �See you later, Pacey,� she said as she left the room.
�See ya, Bessie,� he answered not taking his eyes off of Joey.
Joey had told herself a hundred times that she would not apologize to Pacey. After all she had done nothing wrong. But she could just look at him and tell that he was hurting...and it was because of her.
�I am sorry, Pacey,� she said softly. �I am really, really sorry for the way I acted.� Then she looked down at her feet. �You just took me by surprise, that�s all.�
Pacey said nothing. Joey finally looked into his eyes. �Please tell me you can forgive me for how I acted. We can talk this out. I don�t want to loose you, Pacey. You have been so good to me.�
