During one of the saddest times in my life, I kept going because of a Light in my life. That Light was Jesus. My Lord and Saviour kept His loving arms so tightly around me. Because of the Lord, I was surrounded by loving and compassionate friends.
Because of my relationship with Jesus, I have a loving family, a great job and wonderful friends. I have a presonal relationship with Jesus.
When I was a preteen, I went to VBS for a couple of days. On the last day of VBS, I remember the teachers asking if you would like to know if your name was written in the 'Book of Life' I couldn't wait. It was then that I learned about God and His precious Love. The love that He had for me... to send His Son to die on the cross for MY sins... what a loving God.
I would like to take this time to ask you a question...
If you were to die today, do you know without a doubt that you would go to heaven?
Are you absolutely sure?
Here are a few ways to make sure, my friend.
Realize and acknowledge:
"all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,"
Romans 3:23
Yes, all, including you, have come short of Heaven because of sin.
"the wages of sin is death,"
Romans 6:23
All die physically, but all do not have to die spiritually. You can be born again through Jesus Christ and be saved from the penalty of sin, which is an eternity in Hell
"Christ died for our sins,"
1 Corintians 15:3
Jesus Christ paid the price for us on the cross. God set the price on sin. It was the Perfect Sacrifice. The price was Jesus Christ, Himself on the cross.
"the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord,"
Romans 6:23
God offers us His eternal gift, freely. This gift is yours just by believing in a risen Christ who arose on the third day and is alive today.
"Whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,"
Romans 10:13
If you by simple faith will trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your soul's salvation, you can be sure you are going to Heaven. Only Jesus Christ can save you from your sin, not church membership, not baptism, not confirmation, not communion.
The most important thing to do now is to confess your sins and ask Jesus to be your personal Saviour.
A simple and easy prayer to pray is...
"Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. Forgive me for my sin and come into my heart and save me. Thank you for saving me. Amen."
