Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site
The home, garden, and studios of one of America's greatest sculptors, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, is truly an  enjoyable place to visit. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful gardens, magnificent sculpters, and fine architecture provides enjoyment for all.
One of the  many Sculptures  found among the  gardens at  St.Gaudens.  In springtime this statue is  surrounded by lovely magnolia blossoms.
St Gaudens named  his estate Aspet after his fathers birthplace  in France. The house was built in  1800.
The Shaw Memorial was  unveiled in Boston in 1897.  This  memorial is described as  St Gaudens "symphony in bronze".
