Claremont

Claremont, a small city in west central New Hampshire, and the only city in Sullivan County was settled in 1762. Claremont has scenic waterfalls along the Sugar River which runs east to west through the center of the city and empties into the Connecticut River.  Historical buildings, old mill district, water fountains, old churches, a100 acre park complete with a stone house, and a view of Mt. Ascutney are just a few things that make Claremont a picturesque community.  Claremont is home to  Stevens High School and the  "Oldest Active  High School Alumni Association"  in the United States.
