Brockway Mills, Vermont
One of  Vermont's  best kept secrets is a lovely place  hidden in the small town of Rockingham.  In fact most people would not know of this lovely gorge with a 100 foot drop unless they had taken a train ride through Vermont.  This spot is one of the  highlights of the Green Mountain Rail Road excursions between Bellows Falls and  Chester, Vermont the train  pauses in the middle of the railroad bridge so all passengers may take in the view.
You might not think this is a very long way down, but as you are standing on the road looking over the side is something you might not want to do if you are afraid of heights.
Listening to the roar of rushing  water, and watching as the water splashes over the huge boulders combined make for a magnificent experience.
Be prepared to take a short hike to see this  spectacular view. The path is easy to follow, just  a little on the  steep side, but well worth the view.
Looking at the pot holes worn away by the water over time and seeing the markings in the huge boulders make the curious  mind  yearn for  geological knowledge.
