Sculptured Rocks
Sculptured Rocks Natural Area is 200 acres  located on the Cockermouth River in Groton New Hampshire.  It is  one of the most beautiful geological sights in New Hampshire.  It is defininately off the beaten path but well worth finding and enjoying all year round.
No matter which direction you look,  the sight is  just  phenomenal. Brave  swimmers find this  spot one of the most  delightful in the state. Even in times  when the  water appears low,  as in these pictures, the water is deep and cold one  swimmer  pointed out.
From the bridge you will view  the most interesting potholes eroded into unique shapes by waterborne stones and sediments over  time.
One of the geological wonders that is easy to walk  around and enjoy the  scenery without feeling in danger or  that you  need to be an experienced rock climber to  feel safe.   Enjoy!
Whether you are enjoying a swim, a hike, a picnic or  just taking in the view this spot has  something for everyone and definately don't  forget your camera!  The  reflections  on the water are beautiful.
