Profile Falls
Driving through New Hampshire, unless you knew where you  were going, you could easily miss the tiny sign saying ProfileFalls. This scenic area is well hidden between Bristol and Hill on Route 3A.
Profile Falls was named because they  say  if the water is flowing just right over the falls, you will see a human profile cut in the rocks.
From the moment you turn the corner on Profile Falls  Road you are in for a  treat.  The  view above  the falls and under the  stone bridge is just about as  picturesque as  you can get.
Profile Falls has picnic area, large parking lot and well marked path down a  steep hill and  a breath taking sight is awaiting at the end  of the  wooded area.  The area is a lovely place to relax on the rocks or  take a swim.
Profile Falls is part of the Smith River.    There is  something  quite special about this hidden area, it is so peaceful in the cool crisp days of autumn yet lively in crowded on a hot summers day.
